Cultivating tobacco in America predates the colonies and was utilized by early Native Americans in the Chesapeake region. By the mid 1800’s colonists increased tobacco production in the area rapidly making it the leading cash crop, exporting nearly 70 million pounds a year to Britain.
Our Sweet Southern Tobacco & Tea Leaf is our boldest and most masculine scented bar soap combining the bold aroma of sun-dried tobacco leaves with the earthy sweetness of black tea leaves. Black tea gets its name not from the color of the tea but the color of the leaves. During a process of oxidation, the leaves are exposed to moist, oxygen-rich air, leaving them with a deep brownish black color.
