Legendary Lake Tahoe was aboriginally named “Da ow a ga” by the Native American Washoe tribe meaning ‘Edge of Lake.’ The mispronunciation of the name “Da ow” by later pioneers eventually lead to our pronunciation of Tahoe. Today meaning ‘the beach in the mountains.’
Legend has it that at over 2 million years old it is considered an ancient lake counted amongst the 20 oldest lakes in the world. With a maximum depth of 1,645 ft, it’s the second deepest lake in the U.S. and tenth in the world!
Our Deep Tahoe Blue is as legendary as the lake itself and is made for those who are as just. A sensory overload similar to the rush when enveloped in the natural beauty that is Tahoe. Pumice, bentonite clay, salt exfoliants, and icy notes of peppermint and menthol oils make for a frosty experience similar to jumping into Lake Tahoe’s crisp, deep blue waters.
(*Note this soap contains exfoliating properties. Please see note about exfoliates)
